National Philanthropy Day is set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in our philanthropic community – have made to our lives, our communities, and our world. Each year, AFP honors individuals and groups who, through their hard work and dedication, have enhanced and inspired philanthropy locally and around the globe.
This year, our buffet breakfast and awards ceremony will take place at The Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood, NJ.
Nominations for an AFP New Jersey Southern Chapter National Philanthropy Day award are a great way to honor individuals and organizations within the community for their philanthropic endeavors. There is considerable work being done every single day in our region, let’s honor the impact!
To nominate an individual or an organization, please read through the materials and submit your nomination today. Involvement in AFP New Jersey Southern Chapter is not a requirement of nominees or nominators. Please note that chosen honorees will be publicly honored at a celebration held on November 14th. It is the responsibility of the nominator to have the approval of their nominee before submission as well as their availability to be at the event.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals and organizations that generate philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable institutions. Founded in 1960, AFP advances philanthropy through its more than 30,000 members in 235 chapters throughout the world.
AFP NJ, Southern Chapter serves Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties in the southern-most region of the state. Chartered in August 2008, the NJ Southern Chapter membership includes more than 50 fundraising professionals in healthcare, hospice care, social services, education, non-profit arts and culture, professional consultants, and member associations.
The AFP New Jersey Southern Chapter is acknowledged as a valuable, collaborative, and representative resource by South Jersey’s non-profit community and serves as a model for thought leadership around philanthropy in a diverse and welcoming environment.
