Welcome to the National Philanthropy Day Nominations website.  On average, the writing of your nomination (1,000 words or less) and gathering of two letters of endorsement will take approximately 2 hours.  Please click the "Start here" button at the bottom to see descriptions on all eight award categories.  

All nominations must be submitted no later than End Of Day June 6, 2025 (11:59pm June 6).

For each award, please follow these guidelines:

• Any person from the state of Alabama may submit a nomination.

• No more than two organizations can nominate the same individual jointly.
• Award winners must be present to accept their award at our in-person event on November 12, 2025 at 11:30am at The Club.
• Awards selection will take place in early July, and nominators will be informed if their nominee was (or was not) selected.
• Previously submitted nominations may be carried forward. If you submitted a nomination in 2024, you will be contacted to see if you would like to keep your nomination active in 2025.  
• Past honorees can be nominated for the same award after a 5-year period; past honorees may be nominated for a different award at any time. 
• If a nominee is selected as an award recipient, AFP Alabama will ask the nominee to participate in the making of a video prior to NPD. Up to five supporting pictures of the awardee may be requested. 
• Endorsements can come from Board Members, community leaders, professional ties, or relationships outside your organization.  We use the two letters to gain a bigger picture of your nominee's strengths.  PDFs and Word Documents may be uploaded.  
• If your nominee is not selected as the award winner, you still have an opportunity to celebrate them by purchasing a VIP.

All nominations must be submitted no later than End Of Day June 6, 2025.
