Chapter Nominations

Welcome to the AFP-Nebraska Nominations Portal! 

Each year, the Nebraska Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) hosts the National Philanthropy Day (NPD) lunch where we honor those individuals and companies who have played a key role in improving our own communities and state. These people set the bar for philanthropy in Nebraska.

*Please note, while there are eight categories listed, awards given out depends on the number and quality of applications received.  Some nominations maybe held over for the following year.*

Application Process:
Select the category you would like to submit a nomination for.  You will be asked to anser a series of questions for each category that will outline the nominee's support of your nonprofit (and others in the community, leadership, volunteer support, and success in fundraising or grantmaking activities.)

The following information will be submitted as a PDF.
1. Cover Letter - This is your opportunity to provide a personal plea why you believe your nominee deserves recognition.  Share personal stories specific to your organization. 

2. Supporting Documents - please limit your submission to three of the following items:

  • Biography or Resume
  • List of supported charities and accomplishments
  • A letter of support/recommendation from another nonprofit the nominee has been involved with
  • Newspaper, web or other media highlighing community support
  • Other information you deem relevant

Please submit all nominations by May 31, 2019.
